This is simply becasue the free upgrade problem is still affecting those with PlayStation 5 in the US and Canada. So, it is unclear whether the initial fix was done for PS5 users in specific regions or worldwide. However, it seems that the issue did not get completely resolved as several PS5 users are still facing it. In another tweet, they even declared that the said issue has now been fixed for users of PlayStation 5.
